YTMP3 is first and foremost a link to MP3 converter, so it accepts every address YouTube produces:

• Classic watch pages (youtube.com/watch?v=…), even with playlist or timestamp parameters attached.
• Short share links (youtu.be/…) copied from the mobile app.
• YouTube Shorts and YouTube Music URLs, which resolve to normal videos.
• Mobile (m.youtube.com) and embed (youtube.com/embed/…) links lifted from other websites.
• Recorded live streams, once the broadcast has ended and YouTube has finished processing it.

What it cannot do: whole playlists, channel pages, private uploads and videos that require a signed-in, age-verified viewer. Open the individual video from a playlist and convert that link instead.

MP3 or MP4? A Quick Comparison

Sizes are rough guides; speech compresses far more than a dense rock mix, and a still-image lyric video makes a much smaller MP4 than a concert film. Reach for MP3 when you only need to hear the content and MP4 when you need to see it. The audio in both comes from the same source stream.

320 kbps: Getting the Highest Quality YouTube MP3

The MP3 format tops out at 320 kbps, and that is the setting YTMP3 uses by default. At this bitrate almost nobody can tell the file apart from the original stream, even on good headphones or a car system. Two honest caveats: YouTube itself stores audio at roughly 128 to 256 kbps depending on the upload, so a 320 kbps MP3 preserves everything that is there rather than adding detail that never existed; and a poorly recorded source will still sound poor. If you want the best possible result, start with an official upload from the artist or label.

Long Videos, Full Albums and Podcasts

Plenty of YouTube to MP3 sites cap you at ten or fifteen minutes unless you pay. YTMP3 does not. Full album uploads, DJ sets, audiobooks and three-hour lectures all go through the same pipeline; they simply take a little longer to prepare, roughly one second of processing for every minute of video. Open this page in Chrome, Firefox or Samsung Internet, paste the link and tap Download MP3. The browser saves the file into the Download folder and shows it in the notification shade. Apps such as Samsung Music, VLC and Poweramp scan that folder automatically, so the track appears in your library without any extra step. No YouTube to MP3 app from the Play Store is needed.

iPhone and iPad

Desktop: Windows, Mac and Chromebook
